How to video analysis

Here on this page i will be analysing three how to videos and go into depth while breaking them down and saying what they do well and what they can do better with.

To start off we have a simple how to video that shows us how to make easy pancakes and straight away i can notice that the thumbnail is appealing because in a way it looks inviting and easy to do along with the text/font. another thing is that its only 2 minutes and 30 seconds which will keep me watching as the viewer and again shows the viewer its a quick and easy guide to how to make pancakes. When watching the video straight away i feel like its easy to follow and i wont get confused or stuck when following it. When explaining what to do she has a clear voice and is straight to the point making it even easier to follow and understand and when watching the video i can tell its being recorded in multiple different camera angles including a close up and medium shot etc. and finally the lighting is pretty well placed  and you can clearly see what is going on in the video.

In our second video it is a how to video about improving your free kicks when playing football and again the thumbnail shows straight away its a easy guide and inviting to people who want to learn. In this video there is not much of a a intro and rather straight into it and showing step by step what to do while doing this you can already see within 20 seconds we have a medium shot, establishing shot, close up and low shot also the person leading the guide is always in shot and most of the time the main figure in the show explaining what to do just like the first video he explains what to do clearly and understandable.  There is also a element of comedy during it showing you should have fun while doing this and not really putting loads of pressure on yourself.

For our third how to video analysis we are analysing a how to video on how to tie a tie  which in it self is pretty self explanatory but if i am being honest the thumbnail is not anything much but it does show that there will be a very clear explained guide.  In this video he straight away says how long the guide should take and his voice is very clear to understand and the sound quality is nice and crisp. There also isn't really any intro and rather goes straight into the guide and what to do. all the way through this the camera angle is always mid shot and focusing on his chest.

In our first related topic how to video it is based how to set up a tripod and straight away I can see that the thumbnail is good and straight away shows the point of what the video is gonna be it also shows the subject that the video is based on. There is a little bit of a intro but it isn't long at all and it starts off with a music melody while he starts to set up the tripod there are also many camera angles and the sound is clear with the guide being very easy as the person in the video is showing exactly what to do and how to do it they also show how you use the camera and all round it is actually a really good video.

In our second related how to video it is a how to video on how to use a H4N sound recorder and to start off with we have a pretty basic but clear thumbnail and it shows exactly what the video is going to be about. There isnt a intro so straight away it gets the point about what the video is about and what the H4N is and how to use it. The sound iis also very clear straight away and sound is great he also uses slide shows to show exactly what each button does.

Our third and final related how to video is about camera angles, the thumbnail for this video isn't really anything great its just simple. There isn't again really a intro just a short one but he says clearly what the video is gonna be about and what's gonna happen and what the video is about. The sound is also clear and there is background music but its not that loud and you can still hear what is being said.
